A: Our heating elements are widely engineered for global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across various sectors, including Plastic Processing & Packaging, Commercial Food Service Equipment, Medical Devices & Laboratory Equipment, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Automotive & EV Battery Thermal Management, HVAC, and Industrial Automation machinery.
A: Wattheat is a direct manufacturing factory specializing in custom industrial heating elements. We operate our own production lines and maintain an experienced engineering team to provide full design assistance, material selection, prototype development, and reliable mass production for global customers.
Technical Engineering & Customization
A: Yes. We specialize in custom manufacturing to meet your exact technical requirements. Most products can be customized based on voltage, wattage, specific dimensions, sheath materials, lead wires, terminal configurations, mounting methods, and geometric shapes.
A: To provide a quick and accurate commercial quote, please supply the following details:
- Heater Type (e.g., Silicone rubber heater, Cartridge heater).
- Electrical Parameters (Voltage and Wattage).
- Dimensions (Length, width, diameter, or thickness).
- Operating Temperature and working environment.
- Application Details (Heating medium, installation method).
- Technical Drawings (CAD, PDF, STEP files) or physical samples if available.
A: Yes, absolutely. We support standard industrial drawing formats, including CAD drawings (.DXF, .DWG), PDF specifications, and 3D files (.STEP, .IGS). If you only have physical samples or parts, our engineers can assist in reverse engineering and drawing optimization.
A:
- Etched Foil: Utilizes an ultra-thin nickel-chromium (Ni-Cr) foil alloy mesh processed via chemical etching. It delivers exceptionally uniform heat distribution, a thinner profile, and faster thermal response, making it ideal for high-power density and complex geometric configurations.
- Wire-Wound Construction: Utilizes resistance wires precisely wound onto a fiberglass core. It offers excellent physical durability, flexibility, and tensile strength, which is highly suitable for large-dimension heaters or low-volume custom configurations.
A: The safe working temperature depends heavily on the insulation and sheath materials used:
- Silicone Rubber Heaters: Suitable for continuous operation from -60°C up to 200°C (short-term limits up to 250°C).
- Polyimide (PI) Film Heaters: Suitable for high-vacuum or precision environments, operating from -200°C up to 200°C.
- Metal Sheath Heaters (Cartridge/Immersion): Can handle high-temperature applications from 400°C up to 800°C depending on the choice of Stainless Steel, Incoloy, or copper sheathing.
A: Yes. For precise temperature control and overheating protection, we can pre-integrate various thermal components directly onto the elements. This includes built-in Type J/K thermocouples, PT100/PT1000 RTD sensors, digital thermal switches, or bi-metal thermostats.
A: We provide field-tested mounting configurations based on your application: authentic 3M pressure-sensitive adhesives (such as 3M 467, 3M 468, or high-temperature 3M 9485), mechanical spring-loaded hooks, metallic eyelets, clasps, or factory vulcanization processing.
Commercial Terms, Samples & Production
A: The MOQ depends entirely on the specific heater type and material specifications. For standard custom prototype development and technical testing, we support small-batch production and low trial order quantities to assist your engineering validation phase.
A: Yes. We provide sample manufacturing for customer evaluation and lab testing. Sample availability, tooling/moulding fees, and shipping costs vary depending on the product type and complexity of the custom specifications.
A: Lead times depend on order quantity and product structural complexity. Typical timelines are:
- Prototype Samples: 5 to 10 working days after technical drawing approval.
- Mass Production: 15 to 30 working days from technical sign-off and deposit confirmation.
A: Yes. As a dedicated industrial supplier, we support comprehensive OEM and ODM services. We can customize private labeling, mark your corporate logo, specify distinct part numbers, and print electrical parameters directly onto the products or cable leads according to requirements.
A: For customized heating elements requiring proprietary tooling, dies, or specialized production molds, the customer pays an initial one-time tooling fee. This tooling remains dedicated exclusively to your custom orders. Once your cumulative purchasing volume reaches a pre-agreed milestone, the initial tooling fee can be fully credited or refunded to your account.
Quality Control, Certifications & Global Shipping
A: Every product undergoes strict inspection throughout the production process. Our standard quality control protocol includes raw material verification, in-line dimensional checks, and 100% electrical safety testing prior to shipment—including insulation resistance testing, resistance value tolerance verification, and dielectric breakdown (Hi-Pot) testing.
A: Depending on the specific product category, design requirements, and regional compliance frameworks, our heating elements are manufactured to meet international standards, including CE, UL, RoHS, REACH, and ISO 9001 management systems.
A: We support Express Courier (DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT) for urgent components and sample delivery (3–7 days global shipping), as well as Air Freight and Sea/Rail Freight for bulk industrial consignments. We accommodate standard trade terms, including EXW, FOB, CFR, CIF, and DDP according to your shipping preferences.
A: All our industrial heating elements come with a standard 1-year commercial warranty against manufacturing defects under normal operating conditions specified in our manuals. Our technical team responds within 24 hours to provide remote troubleshooting, diagnostics, or handle rapid component replacements for validated manufacturing defects.
A: Yes, absolutely. We welcome standard international third-party inspections (such as SGS, TÜV, or Intertek) at our factory before balance payment and shipment. For global transit, all products are packed using heavy-duty, moisture-proof, and shock-resistant customized packaging—including industrial bubble wraps, reinforced inner boxes, and solid export-standard wooden crates to ensure zero transit damage.
